Another Thank You
A “Thank you letter” from Library Patron and Friends of Massapequa Library Member I.W:
The many programs the library offers have helped me to cope, and remain positive during the Covid 19 pandemic.
- I start my week on Monday with Strength Training, keeping limber is so important when most activities are canceled.
- The Sharper Image classes have helped me with my computer skills.
- Peter and Lee host the book club, which has introduced me to some great reads and stimulating discussions.
- I enjoy Seniors “Write Your Stories” hosted by Don Allen.
- I hope that “Let’s Talk” would start a Zoom program
- Hoopla has provided me with many a good read.
- I would also like to state how kind, efficient and courteous the staff is.
Again I would like to say Thank You, Massapequa Library!
–I.W.
A Heartfelt Thank You & Updates
Please see the below letter from a library Patron:
“On one of my first visits to the library for a toddler program, my granddaughter was given the gift of a book. This type of book was new to me as well as to other new Moms and Grandmas because they were a type of book called Indestructibles. These books are wonderful as an introduction to books for very young readers. They are perfect because they’re non-toxic, chewable, rip proof and washable. My granddaughter enjoyed many hours “reading” and “teething” her way through them.
I want to thank the Friends of Massapequa Library for establishing and funding “Books For Babies”. It’s a wonderful introduction to putting books in babies’ hands. I look forward to going back to the library and participating in the wonderful events which will again be available. In the meantime, we’re zooming with the amazing virtual programs the librarians are presenting.”
Due to the pandemic the Friends of the Library annual meeting and Team Trivia Night have been postponed until further notice. Stayed tuned for future events when restrictions are lifted!
