Library patron and library staff joined Barbara Gannon, president of the Friends of Massapequa Library on Friends of the Library Day, October 26, 2024. All visitors to our table received a raffle ticket to a gift card for Smokin’ Al’s in Massapequa Park. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn about the Friends and say hello.

The Massapequa community, and the Friends of the Library came together for a fun festive night of square dancing with caller Mario Fiero.

Spring began with an enthusiastic start at the Friends “Volunteer Meet & Mingle” last week at the Central Avenue Library. Twenty members gave it their all.

Maria Guzetta, Board Member and local counseling professional directed everyone in a fast moving and fun mix up introduction. Barbara Gannon, Board President, and Maryann Loverro, Chair of Books for Babies Program, spoke about recent fund-raising successes and many opportunities for volunteers in events to come.

Friends Annual Meeting June 25, 2022

Thank you to all the Friends who came to the annual meeting. We discussed past and current events, met the Board of Directors and had some yummy treats. Everyone is looking forward to future events.

Library Family Fun Day – June 18, 2022

Even though the weather was against us everyone still had a great time. The Friends had a blast helping out and interacting with the community.
